I. Industry background
Under the national "dual-carbon" strategy, CAAC issued the "14th Five-Year
Plan for Green Development of Civil Aviation" and the "Action Program for the
Construction of Four Types of Airports for Civil Aviation in China". It is
proposed that China will vigorously promote the green and intensive development
of civil airports, and build four types of airports that are "safe, green,
intelligent and humanistic" by 2035.
Against this background, airlines, airports and equipment suppliers are
actively working on the green and low-carbon model of civil aviation.
II. Industry demands
At airports APU can provide power supply for aircraft electrical equipment,
while APU fueled by aviation kerosene are a major source of pollutants and
carbon emissions at airports. In order to create a new benchmark for green
airports, airports have built APU replacement facilities and implemented new
energy application programs.
